The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Friday was a positive 67-62-181 as the TSX Venture Exchange gained five points to 540 and polished diamond prices slid 0.5 per cent. Ken MacNeill and George Read's Star Diamond Corp. (DIAM) remains a busy trader as investors await more news of a pending joint venture between the company and Rio Tinto. Star added one-half cent
to 38 cents on 1.26 million shares today.
Ken Ralfs and William Johnstone's Razore Rock Resources Inc. (RZR: $0.07) intends to chase rare earth elements on the True Blue property in Yukon, optioned from Andrew Smith's True North Gems Inc. (TGX). Razore can earn a 70-per-cent interest in the project by spending $300,000 on exploration over three years and issuing 600,000 shares to True North in stages. The 13,300-hectare property, about 170 kilometres northeast of Whitehorse, has been idle for several years as True North pursued its now failed (for it) Aappaluttoq ruby and sapphire project in Greenland.
