The B.C. Securities Commission has imposed a six-year ban on Bryn Gardener-Evans, the former president of Majuba Hill Copper Corp., for misleading investors. The BCSC said that Mr. Gardener-Evans failed to make appropriate disclosures as the company raised $4.6-million and $1.6-million in 2018. In particular, he failed to ensure that investors knew most of the money would be used for consulting fees, leaving little for exploration, the BCSC said.
The ban for Mr. Gardener-Evans is contained in a decision that the BCSC released on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The regulator has barred him from serving as an officer or director, from promoting stocks, and from "advising or otherwise acting in a management or consultative capacity" in the markets. The BCSC has also imposed a $40,000 administrative penalty on Mr. Gardener-Evans.
In imposing the ban, the BCSC has determined that Mr. Gardener-Evans poses a risk to investors. He "failed in his obligations to ensure the public had the necessary disclosure to make informed
investment decisions" and "has
not demonstrated a clear recognition of what his responsibilities were," the decision states. Had he done his job properly, there would not have been any violation, the BCSC says.

BCSC is promoting crypto. Buy, buy, buy.... bitcoin is going to the moon. BCSC has actually registered a crypto fund manager, crypto ETFs, etc. What is the underlying asset for any crypto? It's worlds biggest ponzi scheme and fraud. It will eventually end at zero. But wait the over worked, fiefdom building bureaucrats at BCSC have stopped another firm from paying staff as consulting fees. Public company directors and officers, you should know better than to actually pay your staff. World is safe now and crypto can continue on the ponzi scheme and the fraud.
