MARICOPA COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION DEPLOYS DELIVERY TRUST FOR A OCTOBER 2019 LAUNCH OF IDENTILLECT'S SECURE COMMUNICATION
Identillect Technologies Corp.'s Delivery Trust has been selected by Maricopa County Bar Association as the preferred solution provider for bar members to help meet regulatory requirements and protect their sensitive communications. Identillect is the most widely chosen security provider, partnering with over 13 state and local bar associations across the United States.
The Maricopa County Bar Association, founded in 1914, is the largest voluntary bar association in Arizona; located in Phoenix, one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the nation. Through its continuing legal education programs, social events and charitable activities, MCBA provides a venue for professional growth, networking and public service to the county's diverse legal community.
Paul McIlroy, director of development for the MCBA, stated: "Our goal is to continually advance education for our members while providing the latest technologies. The bar has partnered with Identillect to provide cybersecurity products and education to advance the technology available to our members."
Identillect chief executive officer Todd Sexton states, "Identillect is proud to announce another outstanding bar partnership with the Maricopa County Bar Association and we are pleased to provide their members cybersecurity services."
In a recent American Bar Association article, David Ries, a well-known lawyer and author on cybersecurity stated: "Confidential data in computers and information systems, including those used by attorneys and law firms, faces greater security threats today than ever before -- and they continue to grow. Security breaches are becoming so prevalent that there is a new mantra in cybersecurity today: 'It's when not if,' a law firm or other entity will suffer a breach." In an ABA Tech Report 2017 article it highlighted that lawyers are being specifically targeted.
Cybersecurity threats are increasing, 43 per cent of cyberattacks are aimed at small businesses due to the lack of security infrastructure. The damages cybercrimes create for a business has no end in sight; it is estimated businesses will incur more than $6-trillion annually by 2021. The best way a business can combat being another statistic is through employee education and security protocols.
