New York spot gold rose $7.50 to $1,780.10 on Tuesday. The TSX-V rose another 11.88 points to 620.13 while the TSX gold index added 7.53 points to 345.95. Iamgold Corp. (IMG) had another good day, adding 39 cents to $5.39 on 8.89 million shares. A share could be had for just $2 in mid-March, during gold's brief COVID-19 swoon, but it remains a long way from its 2011 high of $23.79. Pan American Silver Corp. (PAAS) was strong as well, it added $2.56 to $41.23 on 1.4 million shares.
David Beling's Bullfrog Gold Corp. (BFG), up 5.5 cents to 24 cents on 575,000 shares, has received assays of up to 3.23 grams of gold and 3.36 grams of silver per tonne over eight metres at its Bullfrog project in southeastern Nevada. The assays are from nine more holes of the 25 holes the company recently drilled. Five of the tests probed the Mystery Hill deposit, including the one high-grade hit; the others produced lesser grades, but some had significant intervals. One hole yielded 0.41 gram of gold and 0.61 grams of silver per tonne over 110 metres, another managed 0.33 gram of gold and 0.32 gram of silver per tonne over 91 metres.
