The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a weak 66-92-152 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell three points to 602. Wes Roberts's Golden Share Resources Corp. (GSH: $0.045) has been halted for nearly a year pending its reverse takeover of Lipari Diamond Mines Ltd. Golden Share said late last week that it was selling Elwood -- hold on to your hats -- a one-claim, 16.85-hectare postage stamp property west of Thunder Bay in Northwestern Ontario to Delta Resources Ltd. (DLTA: $0.14).
Elwood has been on the company's books since it went public in 2007 as a Searchgold Resources Inc. spinoff, but the last time it was in the news was in 2011, when drilling yielded an 8.3-metre hit grading 2.38 grams of gold per tonne. Delta has been acquiring ground in the area to bolster its Delta-1 project, while Golden Share appears to be clearing its deck, expecting to finally close its acquisition of Ken Johnson's Lipari, a Brazilian diamond miner with an advanced project in Angola.
