The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Thursday was a positive 97-91-112 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell 7.70 points to 910.22 while polished diamond prices edged upward again today. Ken MacNeill's stalled Saskatchewan diamond promotion, Star Diamond Corp. (DIAM) continues to tread water. Today Star dipped one-half cent to 18 cents on 371,000 shares as the wait goes on for a resolution of its dispute with Rio Tinto over the Fort a la Corne project in central Saskatchewan.

Kyle Floyd's Vox Royalty Corp. (VOX) rose two cents to $3.55 on 14,000 shares. Vox touts itself as a "high-growth precious metals royalty and streaming company," one that has a portfolio of over 50 royalties and streams spanning eight jurisdictions. Some of those arrangements are now trickling cash into Vox's coffers, one of which flows from the Brauna diamond mine in Brazil, on which the company holds a 0.5-per-cent gross smelter royalty.(Vox is not alone: Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. (OR: $14.39) holds a 1-per-cent gross revenue royalty on the project.)
