The National Post reports in its Wednesday edition that Elon Musk reacted on social media after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he would be stepping down. The understandably unbylined item says that following Mr. Trudeau's Monday announcement, the Tesla chief executive officer posted on X that "2025 is looking good," along with some emojis. His comment was made in response to another post that said: "Trump won. Trudeau resigned. ... Masculinity is back. Great men are ascendant. And just in time. We're going to need them." About 30 minutes later, Mr. Musk was back on X, replying to his own statement that he had made about Mr. Trudeau last month. "He's such an insufferable tool. Won't be in power for much longer," Mr. Musk wrote in December. Then, on Monday, he reposted that statement and wrote: "As I was saying..." The Tesla CEO also has been showing his support for Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre. When Mr. Poilievre sat down for a softball interview with Jordan Peterson, Mr. Musk reposted the video entitled "Canada's Next Prime Minister," which was released last Thursday. Mr. Musk, a massive financial backer and adviser to incoming U.S. president Donald Trump, called it a "great interview."
