The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, May 30, edition that Raymond James analyst Michael Barth resumed coverage on Suncor Energy with a "sector perform" recommendation and $51 share target. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $59.79. Mr. Barth says in a note, "Despite many of the positive things happening within the business today, we think the Suncor Energy story is well understood, and the current share price more-or-less appropriately reflects the challenges and opportunities facing the business today, hence our 'market perform' rating." The Globe reported on Nov. 10, Feb. 23, April 10, May 10 and May 23 that RBC Capital stockpicker Greg Pardy had reiterated his "outperform" recommendation for Suncor Energy when it could be had for $45.78, $45.79, $53.76, $54.79 and $55.43.
