ORVANA REPORTS TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF OROVALLE OPERATIONS
Orvana Minerals Corp. has temporarily suspended its Orovalle operations in Spain as a result of the lack of timely supply of materials caused by a national strike of transportation services.
Several Spanish trucker unions commenced a nationwide strike on March 14, 2022, over rising fuel prices and working conditions. The protest in the transport sector has disrupted the supply chains across all sectors.
The company is monitoring the situation that is affecting spain on a nationwide basis and will provide further updates as material developments occur as it relates to the operations at Orovalle. Orvana intends to resume normal production at Orovalle when transportation services restart.
