Mr. Tom MacNeill of Omineca reports
OMINECA AND BARKERVILLE GOLD MINES SIGN MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT
Omineca Mining and Metals Ltd. has entered into a mutual aid agreement with Osisko Development Corp.'s Barkerville Gold Mines division located 25 kilometres east of Omineca's underground project at Wingdam in the Cariboo mining district of south-central British Columbia. In the event of an emergency situation or rescue operation at either site, one participant can request of the other participant to mobilize additional emergency resources and assistance. Health, safety, and rescue preparation and preplanning are of vital importance in any underground mining operation.
Omineca is pleased to be working with Barkerville Gold Mines to promote effective and safe mutual aid and rescue responses at its underground mine sites. With its operations in close proximity to each other, it looks forward to developing a strong working relationship regarding health and safety.
About Omineca Mining and Metals Ltd.
Omineca Mining's flagship Wingdam gold exploration and placer recovery project is located along the Barkerville Highway 45 kilometres east of the town of Quesnel. The property includes hard-rock tenures totalling over 50,000 hectares (500 square kilometres) and in excess of 15 linear kilometres of placer claims, both encompassing the Lightning Creek valley where topographic conditions created a thick overburden which preserved a large portion of an underground channel with placer gold-bearing gravels. Omineca also has a diamond drill program currently under way exploring for the potential multiple hard-rock sources of the placer gold at Wingdam.
We seek Safe Harbor.
