The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Aug. 2, edition that RBC Capital analyst Daniel Perlin is keeping his "outperform" recommendation for Lightspeed Commerce intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Perlin cut his share target back by a buck to $20 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $17.72.
Mr. Perlin says in a note: "Lightspeed Commerce continues to thread the needle of driving profitable growth, which is shaping up to be more durable, as they are making a concerted effort (as previously discussed) to pivot its sales team back on driving software growth in 2H25 and is expected to return to DD [double-digit] software growth up from MSD in 1H25. ... In addition to refocusing its sales teams, Lightspeed Commerce is also targeting both back-book and front-book pricing initiatives, which should further support the 2H ramp in software growth." The Globe reported on May 17 that National Bank rated Lightspeed Commerce "sector perform." The shares could then be had for $15.42. The Globe reported on May 24 that CIBC World Markets analyst Todd Coupland had boosted his recommendation for Lightspeed Commerce to "outperformer" from "neutral." The shares could then be had for $15.15.
