GLOBAL CROSSING AIRLINES ANNOUNCES IOSA CERTIFICATION
Global Crossing Airlines Group Inc. (GlobalX) has successfully completed the rigorous International Air Transport Association (IATA) international operational safety audit (IOSA) and has been added to the IOSA registry.
The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline. The certification is valid for two years, when it must be renewed.
"Having received our IOSA certification, both passengers and partner airlines can be assured the people, processes and procedures at GlobalX meet the highest safety standards in the world," said Ed Wegel, chairman and chief executive officer. "We believe IOSA certification will open additional markets and customer opportunities," he continued.
"We congratulate GlobalX on the successful completion of its IATA operational safety audit. GlobalX joins a community of more than 400 airlines around the world on the IOSA registry, which is the global industry standard for airline operational safety auditing. We wish the airline much success in its future growth plans while maintaining the highest safety standards," said Peter Cerda, IATA's regional vice-president, the Americas.
