The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, May 9, edition that TD Cowen analyst Mario Mendonca has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for iA Financial. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Mendonca jacked his share target up by $7 to $147. Analysts on average target the shares at $141.63. Mr. Mendonca says in a note: "Core EPS was in line with our estimates, supported by stronger results in the U.S. (dealer services, insurance), offset by weaker WM results. Top-line momentum (including U.S. dealer services) remains strong across the company. Growth in high-ROE WM business and excess capital support the meaningful raise in ROE guidance from the investor day. U.S. dealer service could be impacted by higher auto prices." The Globe reported on Sept. 17 that Mr. Mendonca had reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for iA Financial. In the item Mr. Mendonca said, "After a challenging 2023, iA Financial fundamentals have turned the corner." The shares could then be had for $105.93. The Globe reported on Nov. 7 that Mr. Mendonca continued to rate iA Financial "buy." The shares could then be had for $133.65.
