The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Dec. 20, edition that CIBC analyst Scott Fletcher, in a 2025 outlook for the software and services space, elevated his share target for Altus Group to $60, exceeding the $57 average on the Street, from $52 with a "neutral" recommendation. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Fletcher and colleague Stephanie Price say in a note: "Looking into 2025 we remain optimistic, with enterprise spending expected to improve, including Gartner forecasting 9.3-per-cent year-over-year growth in IT overall spending. We expect application spending to continue to benefit as GenAI spending moves from primarily infrastructure and proof-of-concept work to more specific applications and broader use cases. ... Our top picks for 2025 include a mix of defensive and high-growth names, as well as a name we expect to benefit from a Trump administration." The Globe reported on Sept. 20 that National Bank Financial analyst Richard Tse had reiterated his "sector perform" recommendation for Altus Group. The shares were then going for $54.09. The Globe reported on Nov. 8 that RBC Capital analyst Paul Treiber continued to rate Altus Group "sector perform." The shares could then be had for $56.61.
