The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, July 31, edition that RBC Capital analyst Maurice Choy is sticking with his "sector perform" call for Atco. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Choy advanced his share target by $9 to $80. Analysts on average target the shares at $53. Mr. Choy says in a note: "The stronger-than-expected Q2/26 result continues to add credibility to our thesis that Atco stands ready to benefit from favourable trends in energy, housing and defence. Backed by Canadian Utilities competitive 7-per-cent rate base CAGR on an equity self-funded basis, Atco's growing S&L opportunities (including within Canada's North) has favourably shaped how the market now views the stock. Indeed, there is uncertainty in the timing of when some of these themes will meaningfully lead to incremental earnings; however, we recognize the durability of these themes moving forward, even as we remain neutral on the stock at current valuation levels." The Globe reported on Nov. 11 and May 8 that Mr. Choy continued to rate Atco "sector perform." It was then worth $55.60 and $68.13.
