New York spot gold rose $6.00 to $1,213.20 on Friday. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 1.12 points to 702.05 while the TSX Gold Index added 1.02 points to 179.81.
Most Canadian gold miners advanced today. New Gold Inc. (NGD) added seven cents to $1.71 on 2.65 million shares and Yamana Gold Inc. (YRI) rose five cents to $4.04 on 5.64 million shares. Alamos Gold Inc. (AGI) went the other way, dropping 30 cents to $6.78 on 2.31 million shares.
Warren Stanyer's Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp. (NEV) gained one-half cent to 9.5 cents on 40,000 shares and Cal Everett's Liberty Gold Corp. (LGD) dropped one-half cent to 43 cents on 246,000 shares. The two companies have received assays of up to 5.42 grams of gold per tonne over 9.1 metres at the Kinsley Mountain gold project in eastern Nevada. (Nevada Sunrise, which owned the project, granted Liberty an option to earn a 65-per-cent interest several years ago. Liberty did so by 2013 and Nevada Sunrise subsequently elected to dilute its interest and Liberty now owns a 79.1-per-cent interest in the project.)

As a paying customer of Stockwatch for many years (oh yes, that would be $100 per month, some of which pays the salary of the person who wrote the story above) I am compelled to make a comment.
Nevada Sunrise is an exploration company. We are not mining a deposit of economic ore, we are looking for one, and from a good distance from surface - that distinction seems to be lost on the good people of Stockwatch.
If a writer wants current facts, he or she should really pick up the phone and ask questions of their subject, just like we see in the Hollywood accounts of newspapering. My salary at Nevada Sunrise is currently $35,000 per year, on a less than full-time basis. It changed late in 2017. Oh, and I don't work for UEX Uranium Corp. - a slip of the pen, I guess, by the reporter. I am CEO of ALX Uranium Corp.
Thank you for pointing out the ALX vs. UEX error. I have corrected it. My apologies.
Allow me to return the favour: The Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp. "management information circular" that was publised on SEDAR in March, 2018, still states your annual salary at $108,000 per year.
