The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Wednesday was a ho-hum 71-77-154 as the TSX Venture Exchange gained three points to 624 and polished diamond prices edged lower. Anthony Huston's Graphite One Resources Inc. (GPH) closed unchanged at three cents on 2.01 million shares. The company will roll back its stock 1:10 Monday morning and shorten its name to Graphite One Inc.
Glenn Kasner's RJK Explorations Ltd. (RJX.A) lost 1.5 cents to 10.5 cents on 1.08 million shares. The company has started drilling the first of two targets on its Bishop diamond project, near Cobalt in Northeastern Ontario. RJK was vague about its plan, just as it was late last month when Mr. Kasner, president, said preliminary work was under way ahead of the drilling. The company acquired an option on the project in early February from Anthony Bishop, a local prospector who had been seeking the source of the Nipissing yellow diamond, a gem that intrigued diamantaires, geologists and promoters in the early 1900s and intermittently thereafter.
