The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was a positive 83-72-135 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell four points to 703 and polished diamond prices were flat. Sheldon Inwentash's Gratomic Inc. (GRAT) gained 1.5 cents to 11.5 cents on 3.32 million shares. The company, which has graphite projects in Quebec and Namibia, has been silent for the past month.
Chris Taylor and Chuck Fipke's recycled diamond promotion, Dunnedin Ventures Inc. (DVI), slumped 4.5 cents to 11.5 cents on 2.31 million shares on the latest diamond counts from its Kahuna diamond project, northeast of Rankin Inlet in Nunavut. The new diamonds are from the old KD900 kimberlite pipe, one of two historical discoveries that Dunnedin redrilled this summer. Just over 133 kilograms of kimberlite from KD900 produced just 18 diamonds larger than a 0.106-millimetre sieve and none of the specks of sparkle were large enough to sit on a 0.425-millimetre sieve.
