It gained $1.30 to $23.90 on 8.69 million shares.
Clive Johnson's B2Gold Corp. (BTO) gained 13 cents to $4.35 on 7.11 million shares on word that it has drilled a 61-metre zone averaging 2.25 grams of gold per tonne. The hit occurred in the Mamba saprolite mineralized zone within the Anaconda area, about 20 kilometres from its Fekola gold mine in Mali. There were higher grades but over shorter intervals, including an 18-metre zone that averaged 6.51 grams per tonne and a two-metre hit that averaged 23.14 grams per tonne. The new assays add 600 metres of strike length to the saprolite zone, which is now over one kilometre long.
