Claude Lemasson's Eastmain Resources Inc. (ER), down 1.5 cents to 17 cents on 1.15 million shares, has received assays of up to 0.71 gram of gold per tonne over 51.9 metres from its Percival discovery on the Clearwater project in the James Bay district of Quebec. The hit was bolstered by a nine-metre interval that averaged 2.69 grams per tonne. The assays, from five new holes, also included a 1.17-gram-per-tonne hit over 18.3 metres, helped by an eight-metre zone grading 2.35 grams per tonne. The assays fell short of the results from the two discovery holes at Percival, completed in mid-November. The first hole assayed 1.46 grams of gold per tonne over 78.5 metres; the second yielded 2.35 grams per tonne over 87 metres.
