The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Wednesday was a poor 54-73-173 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose fractionally to 583 while polished diamond prices were flat. Peter Johnston and Bryce Crocker's Australia-based Jervois Mining Ltd. (JRV) gained one cent to 20 cents on 1.52 million shares. The company recently acquired eCobalt Solutions Inc. in a stock transaction.
Douglas Eaton and David Kelsch's GGL Resources Corp. (GGL), down one cent to 10 cents on 40,000 shares, is enthused by "compelling results from ground geophysical surveys" covering targets at its Stein diamond project in central Nunavut, under option from Patrick Power's Arctic Star Exploration Corp. (ADD: $0.035). Through last year's option deal, GGL can earn a 60-per-cent interest in the project by completing ground geophysics and discovering a kimberlite on the property. (The geophysics is complete; GGL must now drill, trench or otherwise stumble upon a kimberlite to earn its interest.)
