The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Monday was a 77-77-150 draw. The TSX Venture Exchange lost two points to 588. Ken MacNeill and George Read's Star Diamond Corp. (DIAM), closed unchanged at 26 cents on 214,000 shares. No material news is expected until bulk sampling resumes later this year.
Chris Taylor and Chuck Fipke's Dunnedin Ventures Inc. (DVI)was unchanged at nine cents on 195,000 shares. The company is still seeking the big diamondiferous pipe that it hopes to find on its Kahuna diamond project northeast of Rankin Inlet, but it is again talking up its rich but narrow dikes. Dunnedin acquired Kahuna in 2014, after its former owner, Shear Diamonds Inc., went bankrupt trying to resurrect the failed Tahera diamond mine in western Nunavut. Shear had done well with Kahuna, which it called Churchill, where it had found several dikes with encouraging grades -- and dozens of nearly barren pipes.
