CHICAGO, April 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Corona Extra®, the Official Import Beer of the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve, has announced a custom offering by vineyard vines®, the Official Style of the Kentucky Derby. Earlier this year, Corona signed on as a sponsor of the Kentucky Derby over the next two years, when the race falls on Cinco de Mayo weekend.

Fans attending the “most exciting two minutes in sports” will have the opportunity to kick off the unofficial start to summer – Cinco de Mayo – in the infield at the brand’s multi-level activation zone with ice cold Coronas, consumer giveaways and unparalleled views of the race track.

There will also be a chance for fans to have a taste of victory at Corona’s one-of-a-kind winner’s circle photo opportunity – a replica of the real thing with a Corona twist! Everyone is encouraged to post their celebration photos with #CoronaDeMayo.

Each year, the Kentucky Derby® draws in approximately 19 million viewers and 160,000 attendees for one of the biggest sports events in the country. It is North America’s oldest continuously-held sporting event, having been run every year at Churchill Downs since 1875. The legendary race for 3-year-old Thoroughbreds offers a $2 million-guaranteed purse. The 144th running will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018.
