Q INVESTMENTS INVESTS IN XXL ENERGY CORP.

Q Investments Ltd. has agreed to purchase, on a private placement basis, 534,000 units of XXL Energy Corp., a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company, at a price of $1.50 per share, for a total purchase price of $801,000. Each unit comprises one common share of XXL and one warrant for the purchase of an additional XXL share, exercisable for a period of five years at a price of $1.62.

This transaction is non-arm's length under TSX Venture Exchange policy, as the issuer owns in excess of 10 per cent of the issued shares of XXL, and John Hislop is a director of both the company and XXL. The transaction is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. The transaction is expected to close within 21 days of the date of this announcement as the transaction is straightforward and there exist no preconditions to closing other than exchange approval.
