How to Subscribe?

To subscribe to Stockwatch, first sign-up online for a free trial (at the Starter level). At any time during the 30-day free trial period you may convert to a paying subscription at the level of your choice (Starter, Intermediate, Trader, Daytrader or Maximum). To convert to a paying subscription, go to Your Account on the top menu, choose Subscription Options and select your desired Subscription Level and real-time options. Finally, enter a valid credit card number (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). If you do not wish to subscribe online, you may call Stockwatch at 1-800-268-NEWS (6397) or 604-687-1500 for assistance.

Exchange Agreements & Fees

Exchange Agreements are end-user agreements with the stock exchanges that govern your use of their market data. If you wish to add unlimited real-time market data to your subscription you will first be required to agree to any applicable Exchange Agreements. These are online "click-on" agreements that will be presented to you at the time you subscribe (if you are a Professional user, some stock exchanges require you to complete a written agreement and return it by mail or fax to Stockwatch).

Exchange Fees are established by the stock exchanges for access to their real-time market data. If you wish to add unlimited real-time market data to your subscription you will be required to pay any applicable Exchange Fees. Stockwatch collects these fees from you and then remits them to the stock exchanges on your behalf (if you are a Professional user, some stock exchanges will bill you directly). Exchange Fees are set by the stock exchanges, not by Stockwatch. Exchange Fees are listed along with Real-Time Market Data Fees.

Professional vs. Non-Professional Status

Access to unlimited real-time market data and the corresponding Exchange Fees depends on whether you are classified as a Professional or Non-Professional by the individual stock exchanges. Refer to the applicable Exchange Agreements for the official definitions of these terms.

You are normally considered a Professional user if you are registered or qualified with any securities agency, or if you are an investment dealer or adviser, or if you work for a bank or other financial organization, and you require market data as part of your duties. More generally, you are normally considered a Professional user if you use Stockwatch on behalf of a company or other organization, or in any other commercial or professional capacity. If you are not considered a Professional user, and if you use Stockwatch only for your individual personal use, you are normally considered a Non-Professional user. If you are unsure of your status, please refer to the applicable Exchange Agreements or consult with the stock exchanges directly.

This Price List is for Non-Professional users only. Separate Price Lists are available for Professional users, in either U.S. Dollars (USD) or Canadian Dollars (CAD):

Billing Terms

Stockwatch subscriptions are billed to a major credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). Billings are by the calendar month and are not pro-rated. You may cancel or change your Subscription Level and options at any time but you will be charged for the most expensive options that you were subscribed to at any time during the month. This also means that you will be billed for the entire month during which you subscribe, even if you subscribe near the end of that month. You may avoid this situation by using a free trial account until the beginning of the following month, and then upgrading to a paying subscription at that time.

Your monthly charges will be billed to your credit card after month-end. For example, charges for the current month should appear on your credit card statement for the following month. If you cancel your subscription you may still receive one final charge to cover your last month.

Billing Currency

You may choose to be billed in U.S. Dollars (USD) or Canadian Dollars (CAD). Stockwatch quotes subscription prices in both U.S. and Canadian Dollars, but Exchange Fees and Companion Product prices are quoted in their native currency. A conversion to your preferred billing currency will be done, if necessary, when your monthly charges are calculated. This Price List is in U.S. Dollars (unless otherwise specified).
