WELICHEM FILED ANNUAL REPORT ENDED MAY 31, 2009

Welichem Biotech Inc. has filed its annual audited financials, and management discussion and analysis. The net loss for the year ended May 31, 2009, was $2,701,954 (2008 -- restated $2,503,756) and 16 cents per share (2008 -- 34 cents per share). The loss per share and weighted average number of common shares outstanding were recalculated retroactively to reflect the one-for-10 share consolidation implemented on Sept. 3, 2009.
