MEDICURE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW CFO

Medicure Inc. has appointed Eric Johnstone, CA, as chief financial officer of the company, effective Nov. 1, 2009. Mr. Johnstone provides services to Medicure through a contract with Genesys Venture Inc. (GVI). GVI provides a variety of administrative and management services to the company, and other emerging life science and biotechnology ventures through an enhanced business incubator model.
