For the three months ended Sept. 30, 2009 During the third quarter of 2009, vehicle production declined 20 per cent to 2.3 million units in North America and 9 per cent to 2.9 million units in Europe, each compared with the third quarter of 2008.
Also during the third quarter of 2009, the company's North American average dollar content per vehicle increased 8 per cent, while European average dollar content per vehicle was essentially unchanged, each compared with the third quarter of 2008.
Complete vehicle assembly sales decreased 38 per cent to $428-million for the third quarter of 2009, compared with $687-million for the third quarter of 2008, while complete vehicle assembly volumes declined 42 per cent to approximately 14,700 units.
