CANADIAN GENERAL INVESTMENTS, LIMITED DECLARES DIVIDENDS ON PREFERENCE SHARES

Canadian General Investments Ltd. has declared quarterly dividends on its preference shares.

A cash dividend of 29.0625 cents per share is payable on Dec. 15, 2009, to shareholders of the corporation's 4.65-per-cent cumulative redeemable Class A preference shares, Series 2, of record at the close of business on Nov. 30, 2009.
