Ms. Melissa Coley reports ROOKFIELD PROPERTIES REPORTS THIRD QUARTER 2009 RESULTS Brookfield Properties Corp. released the
net income for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2009, was $38-million (U.S.)
or eight cents (U.S.) per diluted share, compared with $174-million (U.S.) or 44 U.S. cents per
diluted share during the same period in 2008. Included in net income in
2008 was a net gain of $127-million (U.S.), or 32 U.S. cents (U.S) per share, on the sale of
TD Canada Trust Tower in Toronto, Ont.
Funds from operations was $151-million (U.S.) or 34 U.S. cents per diluted
share for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2009, compared with $152-million (U.S.) or 38 U.S. cents per diluted share during the same period in 2008.
Commercial property net operating income for the third quarter of 2009
was $330-million (U.S.) compared with $320-million (U.S.) during the third quarter of
2008.
