Same-store sales growth in A&W restaurants is the most important driver of growth in the fund. A&W posted its 26th straight quarterly increase in same-store sales with a gain of 0.3 per cent for the quarter. Royalty income increased by 2.9 per cent to $5.4-million compared with $5.3-million in the same quarter of 2008, due to the same-store sales growth and the addition of new restaurants to the royalty pool.
