The Globe and Mail reports in its Saturday edition that December saw a pullback in oil and gas stocks, and insider buying at Yangarra Resources (72 cents). The Globe's guest columnist Ted Dixon writes in the Who Is Buying and Selling column that Yangarra shares hit a six-month high of 74 cents on Dec. 14 but fell to 62 cents on Dec. 21. Mr. Dixon says that is when some more insider buying took place. Vice-president of business development Gurdeep Gill bought 90,000 common shares at 64 cents. Also buying on the day was chief financial officer James Glessing, who bought a total of 150,000 common shares at 69 cents. The Globe reported on Feb. 8 that Raymond James analyst Jeremy McCrea said he saw much to like in Yangarra. Still, he cut his rating to "outperform" from "strong buy." He targeted the shares at $2.50. The shares could then be had for 98 cents. The Globe reported on March 10 that Mr. McCrea cut Yangarra to "market perform," while maintaining his $2.50 share target. The shares could then be had for 47.5 cents. The Globe reported on March 12 that National Bank Financial lowered Yangarra to "sector perform" from "outperform" and its share target to 65 cents from $1.50. The shares were then worth 38.5 cents.
