NORSEMONT CAPITAL INC. ANNOUNCES PROPOSED NAME CHANGE

Norsemont Capital Inc. will seek Canadian Securities Exchange approval to change the name of the company to Norsemont Mining Inc.

In accordance with the articles of the company and certain CSE policies, shareholder approval will not be required for the proposed name change. The name change has been approved by the company's board of directors.

The company does not intend to change its current trading symbol in connection with the proposed name change.

The effective date of the name change will be disclosed in a subsequent news release.
