Since Cannabis 2.0 legalization on Oct. 17, 2019, Canopy Growth Corp.'s Tweed Inc. has been preparing for the launch of its cannabis-infused beverages to the Canadian recreational market.

The company's first SKU, Tweed Houndstooth & Soda, began shipping to provincial boards and retailers nationwide late last week.

Product shipments began leaving Canopy Growth's regional distribution centre on March 11, 2020. Product availability on provincial e-commerce platforms and bricks-and-mortar retail locations will vary, depending on transportation timelines and provincial distribution systems.

The details

The company has developed proprietary, industry-leading beverage technologies to distill cannabis flower into liquid, which powers its ready-to-drink offerings. Each 355-millilitre can of Tweed Houndstooth & Soda contains two milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol and fewer than one milligram of cannabidiol, combining Houndstooth Distilled Cannabis with soda water and other ingredients for a refreshing cannabis experience.
