The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Jan. 29, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Raphael de Souza raised Ero Copper to "outperformer" from "neutral" after coming away impressed from a recent site visit to its flagship Vale do Curaca project in Brazil. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. de Souza continues to target the shares at $23, which is 25 cents below the consensus. Mr. de Souza notes that the shares have taken a negative turn of late, creating what he calls a buying opportunity. Mr. de Souza says in a note: "Our visit increased our confidence in management's approach to developing MCSA's large land package and highlighted the strength of ERO's team at site. While the strong operational execution is appealing, we continue to see exploration as the main driver for ERO's stock price." The Globe reported on July 16, 2019, that Mr. de Souza rated Ero Copper "neutral," while boosting his share target by $8 to $25. The shares could then be had for $24.51. The Globe reported on Oct. 12, 2019, that Canaccord analyst Dalton Baretto said he was taking a "more conservative" stance on Ero Copper, which he rated "buy." It was then worth $16.72.
