Accelerate Arbitrage to trade on TSX April 7

The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that Accelerate Arbitrage Fund will be listed at 5:01 p.m. on April 6, 2020, for trading at the open on April 7, 2020. According to the TSX, there will be 50,000 units of the fund issued and outstanding, and no securities reserved for issuance. The units will trade under the symbol ARB, in Canadian dollars and under the Cusip No. 00437K 10 8.

The TSX reports that the fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and a superior risk-adjusted return relative to the S&P Merger Arbitrage Index. The fund seeks to outperform the S&P Merger Arbitrage Index through an arbitrage investment strategy by investing primarily in listed equity, debt or derivative securities of target companies involved in mergers or corporate actions, while selling short certain listed equity, debt or derivative securities of acquirer companies involved in mergers or corporate actions, where applicable.

According to the TSX, the fund expects to pay income distributions on its units, if any, in cash and on a quarterly basis. The fund's manager and trustee is Accelerate Financial Technologies Inc., its transfer agent and registrar is TSX Trust Company at its principal office in Toronto, and its fiscal year-end is Dec. 31.

As stated in its prospectus dated Feb. 24, 2020, the fund will issue 50,000 units at $20 per unit in its initial public offering. According to the TSX, the fund expects to close the offering before the open on April 7, 2020.
