"Monthly trading volume on the Canadian Securities Exchange exceeded two billion shares for the first time in four years in January, driven by continued strong investor interest in securities of emerging companies," said Richard Carleton, chief executive officer of the CSE. "With gold prices reaching unprecedented highs this year and other market headwinds remaining in place, we expect this momentum to continue. We are also pleased to note that the month of January featured one of the largest financings any CSE-listed company has completed in several months, as Bright Minds Biosciences Inc. raised $175-million (U.S.)."
