         VANGOLD ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF CFO

May 6th, 2013 -- Vancouver, BC -- Vangold Resources Ltd. ("Vangold" or the "Company")
(TSX-V: VAN) today announced that Mr. Stanley Huntingford has resigned as CFO to focus his
full attention on Vanoil Energy Limited.

Vangold has accepted the resignation and wishes to thank Mr. Huntingford for his years of
service on behalf of the company. Vangold is already in discussions with several qualified
individuals to join the Company as CFO.

Vangold is a publicly traded, Canadian exploration company focused on advancing its portfolio
of global mineral and petroleum assets.
