Robert Sawyer, President and Chief Executive Officer of RONA Inc. (TSX:RON)(TSX:RON.PR.A), announces the appointment of Alain Brisebois to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.

Mr. Brisebois will seek to improve operational efficiency and synergy among the company's purchasing, merchandising, procurement and marketing activities.

Alain Brisebois is a retail veteran and has held numerous strategic positions at major retailers over the past 30 years.

Before joining RONA, he worked for Couche-Tard since 2008, where he served as Vice President of Purchasing and Supply Chain, then as Senior Vice President of Operations in 2010. He also occupied key positions at Metro Inc., including Senior Vice President of the Ontario division.

Mr. Brisebois holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from HEC Montreal.
