The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, May 8, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Benoit Poirier is keeping his "buy" recommendation for MDA Space intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Poirier gave his share target a $2 boost to $55. Analysts on average target the shares at $53.45. Mr. Poirier says in a note: "1Q26 reinforced our confidence in MDA's strong 2026 execution plan. The next phase depends on converting its large pipeline into awards, while deploying post-IPO balance sheet capacity, most likely through M&A. With the large $40-billion opportunity pipeline, we are confident in its ability to convert opportunities into backlog over time and sustain its revenue growth path of 25-per-cent-plus." The Globe reported on Feb. 6 that Mr. Poirier was keeping his "buy" call on MDA Space intact. The shares were then going for $34.50. The Globe reported on March 6 that RBC Capital Markets analyst Ken Herbert had reiterated his "outperform" recommendation for MDA Space. The shares could then be had for $40.43.
