Low Volatility Canadian Equities Income Fund will begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange as an industrial issuer at the open on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, according to the TSX. As in a Jan. 25, 2012, prospectus, the fund plans to sell 10 million units at $10 each, raising $100-million. The fund will invest in an equally weighted portfolio of the 30 equity securities that have the lowest volatility of securities included in the S&P/TSX Composite Index that have a minimum specified current yield at the time of investment. The TSX reports that the fund's units will trade under the symbol LOW.UN and Cusip No. 54750T 10 5, and the fund's manager is Connor, Clark & Lunn Capital Markets Inc. The fund intends to pay monthly distributions based on the actual and expected portfolio returns.
