The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, May 1, edition that Citi analyst Ariel Rosa continues to rate Canadian Pacific Kansas City "buy." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Rosa gave his share target a $4 boost to $97 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $126.95. Mr. Rosa says in a note: "Chief marketing officer John Brooks noted, 'just about everything outside of [CPKC's] coal business has inflected positive,' on continued growth in grain given the record crop, energy/chemicals/plastics volumes stabilizing from Q1 headwinds, forest products stabilizing despite tariffs boosted by truck conversion and regional construction projects, metals/minerals growth on industrial development, business wins in autos and intermodal partnerships ramp. With the soft start to the year, we fear '26 targets could be difficult without meaningful business wins and resolution of macro uncertainty." The Globe reported on April 9, 2025, that Mr. Rosa continued to rate CPKC "buy." The shares could then be had for $73.18. The Globe reported on April 23, 2026, that Raymond James analyst Steve Hansen rated CPKC "outperform." The shares could then be had for $86.89.
