Stephen Pineau, the former president of OTC Markets listing Viscount Systems Inc., has filed a defamation lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against Business in Vancouver. He claims that the publication harmed his reputation with a story about corporate whistleblowers in 2015. He says that the story is making it difficult for him to find a job.

The allegations are contained in a notice of claim that Mr. Pineau filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Jan. 19, 2017. In addition to Business in Vancouver, the lawsuit names as a defendant one of the publication's reporters, Tyler Orton. Also named is Business in Vancouver's owner, Glacier Media Inc.
