ZENN MOTOR COMPANY ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Zenn Motor Company Inc. has arranged a non-brokered private placement of up to 2.4 million units of the corporation at a price of 37.5 cents per unit for gross proceeds of up to $900,000. Each unit comprises one common share in the capital of the corporation and one-half of one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one common share at a price of 58 cents per share for a period of 18 months from the issuance date thereof.

The common shares, the warrants and, upon the exercise of the warrants, the warrant shares will be subject to a four-month hold period in accordance with applicable Canadian securities laws. The net proceeds of the private placement will be used by Zenn for working capital and general corporate purposes. Closing of the private placement is subject to receipt of TSX Venture Exchange approval.
