WESTRIDGE APPOINTS MICHAEL YOUNG AS PRESIDENT AND LOOKS TO CREATE NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Michael Young has been appointed as the new president and chief executive officer of Westridge Resources Inc. effective immediately. Mr. Young has over 20 years of extensive business experience in all facets of corporate development, senior management, sales, marketing, finance and operations, in both the private and public sectors. His experience includes spearheading growth strategies, financial reporting, quarterly and annual budgets, overseeing corporate administration while achieving company objectives, and maintaining internal cost controls.

Since August, 2015, Mr. Young has been chief financial officer and a director of Green 2 Blue Energy Corp., a renewable energy company focused on low-cost wood pellet production through the integration of biomass gasification technology. From 2011 to 2015, he was president, chief financial officer and director of DraftTeam Fantasy Sports Inc., a digital entertainment company focused on daily fantasy sports and social gaming. The company was acquired by Fantasy Aces Daily Fantasy Sports Corp. in 2015, a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Young said: "I am very excited for the opportunity to lead Westridge in a new direction. Our immediate focus will be exploring, identifying and securing relevant and exciting business opportunities for the company, which ultimately can create value for our shareholders."

Chris Cooper has resigned as the president and chief executive officer but remains as a member of the board of directors.

Five hundred thousand incentive stock options at an exercise price of 10 cents have been granted to Mr. Young in conjunction with his appointment as president and chief executive officer.
