WEBTECH WIRELESS ANNOUNCES $2.3 MILLION CONTRACT WITH MARYLAND STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION

Webtech Wireless Inc., in a distribution partnership with a Fortune 100 U.S. wireless carrier, has entered into a $2.3-million agreement to implement a GPS/AVL fleet management solution with Maryland State Highway Administration, powered by Webtech Wireless.

Maryland SHA will be deploying the Webtech Wireless's GPS/AVL fleet management solution in over 2,300 vehicles, each with a multiyear subscription licence plan. The deployment includes a combination of both Maryland SHA and third party contractor vehicles. The solution will enable Maryland SHA to monitor snow plow material usage, manage highway contractors, and gain visibility into real-time location and vehicle activity. In 2013, Maryland SHA launched a pilot program that involved deployment of Webtech Wireless's solution in 15 vehicles. The success of the pilot program has resulted in the expansion of the GPS/AVL fleet management solution to include the entire winter fleet operation.
