The Toronto Stock Exchange has granted Whitecap Resources Inc.'s application to list 51,087,000 subscription receipts. The TSX reports the company plans to sell the subscription receipts to the public at $9.20 per subscription receipt, pursuant to its short form prospectus dated May 24, 2016. According to the TSX, Whitecap expects to close the offering before the open on May 30, 2016. In anticipation of the closing, the subscription receipts will be listed at 5:01 p.m. on May 27, 2016, and will be posted for trading at the open on May 30, 2016, under the symbol WCP.R and Cusip No. 96467A 22 6.

The TSX reports that each subscription receipt entitles the holder to receive, without additional payment, one share of the company, plus an amount per subscription receipt, if any, equal to the amount per share of any cash dividends declared by the company.

Computer Trust Company of Canada will hold the proceeds of the offering as escrow agent, pending closing of the recently announced acquisition of petroleum and natural gas properties in southwest Saskatchewan.
