VMS VENTURES INC. PATRICK EVANS AND BLAIR SCHULTZ JOIN VMS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

VMS Ventures Inc. has appointed Patrick Evans and Blair Schultz to the board of directors as of July 9, 2015, at the company's annual general meeting of shareholders.

The shareholders ratified and approved the number of directors at eight and Gary Ostry, John Roozendaal, Don Whalen, Mark Fedikow, Patrick Evans, Blair Schultz, Wes Roberts and Jay Butterworth were elected as directors of the company for the ensuing year. Morgan & Company LLP was reappointed as auditor; and shareholders defeated the company's rolling stock option plan as detailed in the management information circular dated as of June 2, 2015.

Following the annual general meeting, the board of directors reappointed John Roozendaal as president and interim chief executive officer, Gary Ostry as chairman, Cheryl Messier as chief financial officer, Neil Richardson as chief operating officer, Mark Fedikow as vice-president, exploration and technical services, and Evan Sleeman as corporate secretary.

President and interim CEO John Roozendaal states: "We are very pleased that Mr. Evans and Mr. Schultz have accepted the invitation to join the VMS board of directors. As their bios below indicate, both directors bring a wealth of knowledge and success in corporate development and finance within the mining sector. We look forward to their active participation in the growth and development of the company."

Mr. Evans has been president, CEO and a director of Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. since November, 2005, and president, CEO and a director of Kennady Diamonds Inc. since February, 2012. Mr. Evans is a graduate of the University of Cape Town where he received his bachelor of arts degree in 1977 and bachelor of science degree in 1978. In 1999 he was appointed a vice-president of Placer Dome Inc. (a major gold mining company) and a non-executive director of SouthernEra Resources Ltd. (a diamond and platinum exploration, development and mining company). In 2001, he was appointed president and CEO of SouthernEra Resources Ltd. and Messina Ltd. (a platinum mining company). In 2004, he was appointed president, CEO and a director of Southern Platinum Corp. (a platinum mining company), which was acquired by Lonmin PLC in June, 2005. In September, 2005, he was appointed president, CEO and a director of Weda Bay Minerals Inc. (a nickel exploration and development company), which was acquired by Eramet SA in May, 2006. Mr. Evans was appointed the CEO and a director of Norsemont Mining Inc. (a copper exploration and development company) in June, 2007, which was taken over by Hudbay in March, 2011. He also served as a non-executive director of Anvil Mining Ltd. (a copper mining company) from March, 2009, to February, 2012, when Anvil Mining was acquired by Minmetals.

Mr. Schultz has worked on the executive team at Klondex since August, 2014, focusing on finance, investor relations, capital markets and business development. Mr. Schultz has 13 years of experience evaluating merger and acquisition transactions in the mining space, and served as chairman of Klondex from 2012 to 2014. Previously he was vice-president and head of special situation analytics, portfolio management and trading at K2 & Associates Investment Management Inc. His duties involved management of various investment silos including special situation analytics, merger arbitrage, commodity and currency hedging, and investment execution. Mr. Schultz has previously worked for Canada Life, TD Securities, Trimark and Perigee Investment Counsel in debt private placements, interest rate derivatives and equity research. Mr. Schultz holds an honours bachelor of mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo with a business administration option from Wilfred Laurier University.
