TARANIS RESOURCES INC. ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Taranis Resources Inc. has closed the $50,050 private placement announced Dec. 17, 2012. This private placement consisted of the sale of 455,000 units at a price of 11 cents per unit, each unit consisting of one common share and one share purchase warrant, with each warrant entitling the holder to purchase one additional common share at a price of 15 cents until Dec. 19, 2014. All of the securities issued pursuant to this private placement are subject to a hold period in Canada until April 20, 2013.
