Mr. Manoj Jain reports

THOMSON REUTERS COURT MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS EXPANDS IN U.S., U.K. ROYAL COURTS OF JUSTICE; CALIFORNIA, WYOMING AND ILLINOIS COURT SYSTEMS MODERNIZE WITH WORKFLOW TECHNOLOGY

Courts around the world are turning to sophisticated technologies to improve workflow, information management, performance, transparency and efficiency, and the United Kingdom Royal Courts of Justice, as well as major U.S. courts, recently selected C-Track case management system from Thomson Reuters Corp. to facilitate this modernization.

Thomson Reuters was chosen to provide the case management solution for all case types for the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco. C-Track CMS, selected for its technology, flexibility and its capability to integrate seamlessly with external judicial partners, will be implemented for all courts and case types, assisting the court in its goal to modernize its systems and become paperless.

In addition, Thomson Reuters Court Management Solutions is completing the installation of a comprehensive system, which includes e-filing for the State of Wyoming, including the Supreme Court, district courts and circuit courts. This marks the first state that will have interconnected trial and appellate court systems for all levels of state courts from a single legal solutions provider.

"The C-Track product suite is designed to improve court operations and legal systems worldwide, adapting to the unique business rules and workflows of any size court," said Manoj Jain, vice-president, court management solutions at Thomson Reuters. "The San Francisco Superior Court will use the technology and integration capabilities of C-Track to improve their operations and strive to become a paperless court, while Wyoming will see significant efficiencies and ease of collaboration through implementing C-Track at each level throughout their entire judicial system."

Continued expansion

Thomson Reuters Court Management Solutions, formerly LT Court Tech, has seen substantial growth since becoming part of Thomson Reuters, an industry-leading provider of information, solutions and services to professionals worldwide. In January, 2013, C-Track was chosen as a preferred vendor for the California Superior Courts. The 58 Superior Courts of California issued a request for proposal outlining case management system requirements, which led the California Information Technology Managers Forum to create the master services agreement for the procurement of case management systems in its state.

Earlier this year, C-Track was selected by the U.K. Royal Courts of Justice, and the Supreme Court and appellate courts of Illinois, as their case management and e-filing solution. Additionally, C-Track also has been selected by the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, as its case management solution, and both Minnesota appellate and Montana state courts have added the C-Track e-filing solution.

Steve Rubley, managing director of the government segment at Thomson Reuters, noted that C-Track CMS is an innovative solution that builds upon Thomson Reuters' deep industry expertise and integration capabilities. "Thomson Reuters has been an integral part of the U.S. legal system for more than 100 years, and for even longer in the U.K. We integrate our knowledge of the law and deep understanding of our customers into the solutions we provide. C-Track CMS seamlessly integrates with our market-leading products and solutions, as well as with external agencies, to create a fully modern solution for courts."

C-Track is a highly secure, Web-based product suite that utilizes open technologies and can be installed on a variety of platforms and operating systems. C-Track can be accessed using any modern web browser and provides easy integration capabilities with external systems to ensure a complete and seamless solution for the courts. C-Track eliminates redundancies, increases transparency and automates tasks associated with intricate court processes, while interfacing with other justice agencies to offer a complete and fully streamlined court management solution. Through its market-leading customer service, courts that have maintenance and support agreements receive system enhancements, statutory and legislative rule changes, and free upgrades of the core C-Track product suite.
